"so its come to this has it? almost two years to the day since that night, since last i gazed into those blue eyes that flashed fire into my very soul..."
his words laced with a deep and solumn regret as he stood, unflinching with his back to the figure behind him in the shadows, his gaze fixed firmly ahead, and the palm of his hand resting gently on Zankimarus hilt as he spoke again.
"i knew one day they would send you Rika, after all, what better candidate could there be than one who's sole purpose, was the eradication of a rogue such as me...but still...even now, and after all this time has passed...i find my sword hand unwilling, hesitant to draw against the threat that stands behind me..."
Dunvas voice now soft as the scar on his chest began to ache.
"iv waited for you for what seems like an eternity, and every day i swore to myself that when this time came, that i would have no hesitations in entering combat with you as i have all the others your brother has sent before you, i swore that this black hole where once there beat a human heart, would aid me in feeling nothing as i cut you down...but now the time has come, and i am faced with you...and i am weak... unable to unleash Zankimarus fury apon you...i cannot fight you Rika, nor can i forget what what once we had...can you?"
Dunvas head turns to glance over his shoulder, looking apon the shapely figure of his former pupil, Rika Nekosawa, as her blade rest in the air by his neck, and after a few moments of silence, only one word left Rikas lips as the blade pressed to Dunvas neck.
